An ambient instrument that models a child's toy then enlarges it with spectral delay, reverb, brightness, hit strength, attack and decay. Interesting results range from ethereal vibraphones to metallic mallets to tinkling bells. The heart of the device is MY re-work of Pluggo's Big Ben Bell to create 8 new preset tones. 8 controls on the outside are complemented by access to more on the inside to further customise the sound. This is a rework of a Max for Live TB303, but I added phasor and an extra waveform. This simple thing can give hours of tweakable pleasure if you have nothing else to do.
Note the exciting retro look dials! All functional. Click the pic to dropbox the device.
Laverne gets pretty. Could be renamed "Lauren"
A "comes as standard" Max 4 Live Instrument, Laverne is described as a "working class subtractive synth". I started my experiments with Max 4 Live by giving this machine's dull GUI a wash and brush-up. Click the pic to GET IT DIRECT from the Max for Live website. No signup, no strings.
